Minister PA Mohamed Riyas to inaugurate landmark event positioning Kerala as global wellness tourism leader
In a landmark initiative to position Kerala as the world’s premier destination for Ayurveda and holistic wellness tourism, the state will host the first International Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave from February 2–3, 2026. The event will be inaugurated by Kerala Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas at Hotel Tripenta, Opp Sarovaram Bio Park, Mini Bypass Road, Kozhikode, on February 2 at 11:00 am.
Organised by the Ayurveda Promotion Society (APS) in association with the Department of Tourism and allied tourism and health organizations, the conclave will bring together Ayurveda scholars, global wellness experts, policymakers, academics, industry leaders, travel trade professionals, and international stakeholders for comprehensive knowledge exchange and strategic networking.
The two-day event will serve as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, B2B networking, and global collaborations, accelerating Kerala’s emergence as the world’s most trusted destination for Ayurveda and holistic wellness tourism based on responsible and sustainable development principles.
Day 1: Knowledge Sessions and Expert Dialogues
The inaugural day will feature felicitation of eminent personalities who have contributed significantly to the development of wellness and Ayurveda-based tourism, followed by expert-led panel discussions on critical themes.

The B2B interactions will focus on strengthening Kerala’s position in medical value travel, wellness retreats, Ayurveda healthcare, and yoga tourism, facilitating business collaborations and partnerships that will enhance the state’s global wellness tourism ecosystem.
Post-Conclave Familiarisation Tour
A comprehensive nine-day familiarisation tour for international Ayurveda and yoga ambassadors has been planned from February 4–12, 2026. The tour will commence in Kozhikode and conclude in Thiruvananthapuram, offering delegates an immersive experience of Kerala’s Ayurveda, wellness, and cultural ecosystem.
